The goals are to farm as many Stellar Cores / Crystals / Debris as you can as soon as you can, never leave the impact zone, and never let your base get hit/farmed by other bases.
To accomplish such a high event ranking, here is my strategy:
Preparation
- Your profession should be War Leader, and you should max the level 5 skill called Immediate Return. This lets your teleport even even when squads are not in your base
- Have a bunch of Advanced Teleports in stock and ready to use. Maybe have 5-10 of them, to be safe.
- Have 15k or more of the highest level troops in your drill grounds. You will likely be killing some troops today...
- Clear your schedule for this half hour event. You will need to have intense focus on the game for the entirety of the event.
- As soon as the meteor strikes, teleport into the Blackland directly next to the capital.
- Farm Stellar Cores until you have a bunch of them in your base. I usually get 5-10, and I keep farming until someone tries to attack me.
- When you see that you are being attacked, port immediately. It doesn't matter where you port to as long as it is inside the meteor impact zone. The goal is to not allow anyone to steal any of your Stellar Cores!
- Now that things are getting sporty (folks are starting to attack one another to steal cores) situate yourself inside the outside edge of the meteor zone. You don't want to be right on top of the edge. Stay far enough in that you can easily farm Meteorite Debris and Meteorite Crystals.
- Start farming and obtain materials as quickly as possible.
- Stay zoomed out a little on the map so that you can see if someone teleports close to you. If you see an attack coming, teleport somewhere else inside the impact zone immediately. The goal is to avoid getting hit, and losing cores/crystals/debris.
- Always keep your main squad at home to hopefully repel hits on your base, in case you are to slow to teleport before getting hit.
- If you watch someone else farm Cores/Crystals/Debris, you can send your squads to hit there farms when they only have a few seconds of farming left to complete the farm. Obviously, you need to have strong enough squads to win battles, if you intend to use this tactic.
- You should be taking zero hits on your base. If you are taking hits, you need to get better at escaping.
- Sometimes I hit lower power bases that are near me. I want them to leave so that they don't interrupt my farming, and so that they don't think that they can farm by base.
- If you want to be a jerk, you can farm other bases that are weaker and close to you. You risk stirring the hornets nest, unless you do it right before the event ends.
